You must configure both the Icom exciter and the PGXL to have the same port settings. Once your Icom exciter is properly connected to the PGXL, use the Power Genius XL Utility to configure the CI-V address, the port settings in the CAT / CI-V tab. ![]() You cannot connect a single exciter to both the A and B sides simultaneously. It is designed to connect two independent exciters to it, one to the "A" side and another exciter connected to the "B" side. It is also possible to use the same 1/8" (3.5mm) TS to 1/8" (3.5mm) TS cable to connect the PGXL directly to the Icom exciter, but this may prevent interfacing the Icom exciter with other CAT enabled applications. The PGXL utilizes a 1/8" (3.5mm) TS to 1/8" (3.5mm) TS cable to connect it to the CT-17. The recommended CI-V interface configuration is to use a CI-V hub and level converter, such as the CT-17 which will provide the greatest flexibility in managing your CI-V attached devices. The Power Genius XL (PGXL) amplifier can be interfaced with an Icom exciter using the CI-V interface. ![]()
